About

I am a mostly self-taught artist. As such, I am continually learning new methods and striving to improve upon my skills.

I work mostly with digital art because of the versatility and flexibility that it provides me. I am drawn to landscapes and seascapes because of the serenity they provoke. My process generally begins with a search for potential inspiration around me. When possible, I photograph what I would like to paint. Often, I am assisted by family and friends who generously allow me to use the images they collect. I have a personal connection with most of my chosen works.

I have been inspired by Impressionist painters including Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro.

Color is always the focal point of my work. I am calmed, motivated, and inspired by color. My hope is that the works I create help to provide the same peace and calm to others.
